Take the bulb out, set your meter in 20 volts, ground the black probe somewhere, red probe goes into the socket. There will be two contacts on the bottom, one is for turn signal, the other will be running lights. With running lights off, (just to make life easier) turn on the turn signal, and you should see voltage pulsing on one of the contacts in the bulb socket.

Ok, so I did it with a test light. I clipped it to the turn signal wire and grounded the other end. There's no power. I guess I'm going to have to trace this wire back to it's source to see if there's a break somewhere.

I wonder what would happen if I piggybacked a wire off of the rear turn signal on the same side?

Does the rear work? Are they both fed off the same terminal on the flasher??

The rear turn signal does work. Not sure if they're fed from the same terminal. The wiring diagram in the Haynes manual is kind of ambiguous.

Try here. Does the indicator in the dash work?? I think there is a splice somewhere in the left front circuit somewhere...... as front and rear are fed separately from the multifunction switch.... (and the flasher is BEFORE the switch.... wow, that's weird....)

That would indicate the splice is the problem then. If you can find it......
