Thanks for the reply and info. I used the complete power train from the donor truck, engine and transmission, still has the original crank sensor. Also used the PCM from the donor truck. I'll check for power delivery to the coil today.

Well Hey You, you hit the nail on the head. The crank sensor was a bit too close the shutter wheel, cracked the sensor. Do you know of any way to check the air gap?

After banging my head on the wall for a while, I discovered that the CKP connection plugs on auto trans and manual models are configured differently, are not interchangeable. I mistakenly used the CKP from the auto trans because it fit the male plug on the wiring harness. Duh! In order for the manual CKP to fit the male plug on the wiring harness, I would have to swap the plug. Or possibly use the longer auto trans CKP using spacers to establish an air gap. Hmmm.....Any help appreciated.

Swap the plug. Get one from the junkyard if you have to. (Harness side, unless you see yourself putting the auto back in at some point...... )

Another question. Getting an EGR code. EGR system has been deleted by a PO. If I connect an EGR solenoid to the harness connector, will that keep the code from recurring?

What code? If it talks about 'no change in engine rpm when egr is commanded', you aren't gonna be able to fix that one, unless you put the egr stuff back.
