Default 96 Distributor Coil Pickup Photo Request

Working on getting my 96 Dakota Sport 3.9 V6 road worthy again. Had it running great and then a rat found it's way under the hood and ate the wires off of the distributor pickup coil. I got a new pickup coil but for the life of me cannot find where it's supposed to plug in despite many web searches. If anyone has a 96 with the V6 and could post a photo of where the distributor coil plugs in I'd be grateful.

It's gonna be back there behind the motor....... Yep, it's fun to see, and likely impossible from underneath....It'll come from the passenger side though, might be part of the same harness that goes to the crank sensor.

Thanks for the response. I know roughly where it should be but not having any luck at all locating it, hence the photo request if anyone can provide one. Not sure if I'm just overlooking the plug in, or if maybe it got chewed off too and I'm going to need to figure out where it was and I've just got a broken wire hiding in a harness that I'm not seeing.

Chrysler calls it the camshaft position sensor in the FSM. There is a 96 FSM in the FAQ section. There is a picture of the plug on the part, but no picture of the receiving plug in my 94 FSM. If I remember correctly when I dropped it a I was replacing mine the wire is connected to the harness sections that run across back there so it cannot have fallen too far. It will be wrapped in that plastic tube stuff I always for get the name of.

I know the pain, I've drop it a few times before and it seems there's an abyss somewhere between the keg and the dizzy. Also make sure you got the correct sensor, I've had RA ship the wrong sensor in the correct box before, beat my head up for a few minutes till i discovered the issue. They were very good about correcting the issue though. By that I mean the sensor changed connectors atleast 3 times through the production of the Magnum engine series

I finally found it!!! It was hidden above the bell housing towards the drivers side. I've not seen any photos of it coming from that location before. Thanks all for the help. The ole Dakota is running again. Next step....shocks.
