Ticking/Tapping with Harland Sharp Rockers
Negative, I’ll be putting the manifolds on thanksgiving. They’re at my parents house at the moment, that’s where I took over the garage for the engine swap lol so all my old parts are still there
Yeah I’m going to stethoscope it some time in the next couple days. Probably going to switch lifters again to the Hughes 5006S. They’re not fast bleed, they’re actually slow bleed, and it literally says “the quiet one” in the listing lol
Joshman, check out this thread; Pulled the timing cover today. Oh boy... - DodgeForum.com
Just replaced the lifters with the slow bleed down Hughes lifters, ticking is still there. I am completely stumped now. I guess now it’s time to take it somewhere where it can be diagnosed
Josh,
Did not get a chance to read through the whole post, but have you tried the orig. factory rocker arms? Also, have you looked closely at the pushrods to make sure they are not hitting the sides in the heads?
FWIW I have the Harland Sharps in a LT1 motor. Though they are not as loud as yours, they do have a sewing machine sound.......
