Default Infamous wire corrosion,No Start.

went to start my dakota the other day and would not start, No fuel pressure and no spark and no check engine light. I knew of this forum so I looked it up. and looked for the '"Ïnfamous wire corrosion"' peeled back the insulation type tape, actualy had to cut most of it ,, back until I found the splice, The splice was completly broken and corroded, a three into one connection. I even took a picture for all to see. repaired the splice tempoary, am going to do a better job when I go and get the propper spliceing kit. As soon as I hooked up the Battery relays started clicking and I knew I was on to something. I left the key in the on postion. VROOOMMMMMM. Thanks for the info. now I will try to post a pic.. here are the URL's they are too big for the forum..

Good to hear the problem was that, and not something complicated.

all u need for the whip to go is spark, fuel, and compression. u need to inspect the wires that are relevent and then try to enforce or piggy back back up wires to them to make sure everything gets juice.
