RE: Some Lights On My Dash Stay On???
Well, I began to think, and I remembered a common cause in the Durangos and Rams of both the ABS and brake light coming on was failure of the rear wheel anti-lock (RWAL) speed sensor (which is the exact item that ABS controller codes 9 and 10 refers to)
The book says you can do the following to test the RWAL sensor circuit: disconnect the connector at the ABS module. Measure the resistance between terminal 13 and 14 (of the connector, not the module; the wires should be white/violet for terminal 13 and red/violet for terminal 14). This measures the resistance of the circuit to, from, and including the RWAL speed sensor. Resistance should be 1,000-2,500 ohms. If it checks BAD, check for the same resistance at the actual speed sensor. If the speed sensor tests bad, replace it.
If the resistance between 13 and 14 tests good, test each terminal against a good ground. Resistance should be greater than 1000 ohms. If its not, the circuit has a short to ground and needs to be repaired.

The RWAL sensor is bolted in the top of the differential(normally only 1 bolt holds it in). Pull the sensor, if find a bunch of fine metal shavings on it, take a clean rag and wipe them off. Put the sensor back in, if lights go off run the truck normally for a few days. If the lights come back on you'll need to open the differential. Then flush case with brake cleaner, inspect, adjust or replace the components. And of course put everything back together, and fill with clean fluid.

Where is the RWAL computer and diagnostics plug on a 89??The HAYNES manual isn't to clear on this point, and even less clear about how to remove the glove box (if it is behaind there afterall)
