i paid $1700 for mine, about a year ago. 96' club cab, 200,000 miles, v6 mag, white peeling paint mostly on the hood. never had a dodge before. but i like the truck. not a bad looking truck, but still runs pretty good to have that many miles. has a few small dents. would like to have it painted if i could find someone to do a good job cheap. would also like to find some replacement parts if i find a good place. all in all i would probably buy another one.i tried to add a pic to my post. said it was too big. how do you resize one?

My current project truck is a 1987 Dakota LE 3.9 Auto 2WD. It was my brother's first truck when he was 16, he drove it until he was 24. He put a rebuilt 3.9 in it, the body has 276 000 kms on it, the motor hasabout 90 000 kms. He paid $3000 for it in 1998 and he gave it to me to fix as he now has his work truck and a Cobalt SS. I am hoping to fix the minor problems and put some work into 'er and get $1500when I sell it. Long story short he paid$3000. Last summer I paid $11 300 for my2000 Dakota SLT C/C 4X4 V8Auto

Just picked up a '91 2WD std.cab. I wanted an 8' box truck to drive to the lumber yard a couple of times a month. I paid almost $2K for it but it has 44,000 original miles, Has a coupleof minor dents and scratches. It should have, at 16 yearsold, or I'd figure it was wrecked and repaired. Can find no evidence of that.No air, 3.9 automatic. Must have been an early one because it's a throttle body and not multi-port. Anyway, after cleaning it up (must have been in a barn for a few years) it looks and drives great. I could drive it every day; the longer wheelbase rides better than my car. It's a basic unit, no frills. Limited slip rear and chrome bumpers, and 2-tone paint are the options. Basic AM-FM 2-speaker radio (THATwillchange!).We ran the vin through Carfax and Chryler's Dealerconnect and got the equipment codes, recalls, and service records. No surprises. Everything under the hood except the engine itself reminds me of my '89 Ram B150 van, which was a 5.2. (Not much horsepower at 195 but you could pull tree stumps with it.) Hopefully the Dakota will give me the same service. All in allI think I got a real good deal. No pictures yet,I didn't even think of it after Debra Ann washed it for me today. Have to post one later.

i hate to out do you guys, BUT, i paid $150 for my '93 dakota ext. cab, 3.9L magnum 2WD short box with 255,xxxKMs on it at the time, now it has 262,xxxKMs. bought it in june of '08. wicked truck! couldnt have asked for anything better for $150. the guy i bought it off of was only selling it so cheap because he had it looked at and the mechanic told him to get rid of it while he could because it was on the verge of dying ( that was almost 10,000 KMs ago... ), the brakes were shot, the suspension was going, it burns oil and there was a huge nail in the tire. ive done very little work to the truck, only the regular maintanence things such as oil changes and what not. its got pw, pl, pm, cruise, a/c, wood grain dash, am/fm factory HU (replaced for JVC 220 watt), sliding rear window, mirror tint side back windows.

I paid $2000 for my '95 in 2005. It had 115k on it. Now it's got over 197k and it's been parked in the driveway on and off for about a year. It was a pretty sweet deal. It belonged to a family friends father who couldn't drive anymore. I put $300 down and paid $100 a month til it was paid off, interest free. The body was cherry, no rust at all. I've beat the crap out of it over the past two years and now it's paying me back for that abuse in spades. I'm confident a little TLC will get me back in its good graces and we'll enjoy many more years together...:-)

She's a 1995 extra cab, short bed, 5.2L 4x4. The only power anything is the brakes. I plan on changing that in the future by adding power windows and door locks and mirrors if I can rig that. She needs paint and new bumpers and she'll be good as new. I'll take a pic and use it as my avatar. She's a little rough now but, it's a work in progress.
