Oil pump and Sending unit has been replaced, however when i drive 10 miles at a time, the pressure bottoms out like there isnt oil in there.... how can this be, clogged head or what?

also, when driving more than 15-20 miles, i think the "lifters" rattle as in they arnt getting any oil. When we replaced the oil pump it made the engine sound a hella lot better afterwords.

what oil are you using? I would try to go with a ticker oil. I put 15w40 in the 88 and it gave it alot more oil pressure. but I usually just use 10w30

in regards to the sludge found, we put risline to clean the engine out, so it helped a little.
