Default 94 3.9L exhaust

I have stock exhaust now and I want the maximum power gain from my exhaust upgrade. What direction (in detail) should I go to get the most boost? (I am not going the route of a V8 any time soon if anyone asks).

Lots of people go simple catback ehaust, which is twin lines and mufflers from the cattilic converter back. for even more money you can install headers and twin catcons and a x pipe with twin lines all the way back. Talk to your mechanic or to someone at amuffler shop. Also check 0out the Mopar or hotrod magizines to learn more before spending your money

V6 headers are virtually impossible to find.

I was thinkin along the lines of Flowmaster 40's and there's not a cat on there right now, and the place I plan on going to is not very strict on it, nor is law enforcement here in rural nebraska. So with flowmaster 40's, what else do you all think would go well?

I guess I found some JBA headers for a V6 for 485 dollars. If I did go this route, what else would I need to purchase along side the headers? Consider I order them today, what else should be ordered?

I sould have written that differntly. The muffler has one entrance and two exits . I found a muffler shop or two that if you bring your own muffler they will costum make the rest of the exaust line for you. If you want to they should be able to r4un twin lines from your manifolds allthe way to the back , although the lines may run down one side of the truck and one line will split over to the other side..

92-93 exhaust manifolds are bigger than later years, putting those on, with the correct larger Y pipe, and a big single exhaust will give you some power boost with about $400 less invested. Headers do almost nothing for you at street legal speeds.
