Default Crap.....

Well my lastest problem is a freakin pain in the ***. I was cleaning my rear main cap and started lookin at it and there is a giant hole from the oil pump machined surface to the rear, AKA casting flaw. Bought 1/2 in wide I willpost of a picture of it when I get on my computer. Long story short I need a new or used rear main cap im gonna go to the dealer see if they will give me one or discount it at least. If that doesn't work junkyard time but I don't know if they will let me have that one part without buying the engine. So I been lookin at all the websites and having no success at all. can't even find an OEM set. So im in quite the pickle any help would be much apprieated.

Speaking of, I just worked on a friends BMW cause the shop was going to charge him over 400 to replace the fuel filter and Spark plugs. Anyway, I took off the shield that protects the plugs and wires, and he points to plug wire harness and says "Are those the pistons". I was so dumb founded I had to stop what I was doing before I dropped the new plug.

LOL ya I had a guy today say the most stupid thing. Last 2 weeks we had been studying drive lines, U-joints, and diagnoses and remove and repair. Deep intense study, well this same guy who broke my dipstick tube and I were under a vehicle and discussing the assighnment well he looks up and says WHAT the hell is that thing!!! I say thats the drive line...... Two weeks and he doesn't even get the most simpliest thing.

OOO and BTW everyone I found out that the hole on the back of my rear bearing cap is supposed to be there!!!! The reason I thought was broke was because the casting flaw made it look like it cracked. But it will be fine I can use it again!!!
