Default My new 52mm throttle body

I ordered a bored out throttle body from HiPoTek http://stores.hi-potek.com/StoreFront.bok. They are a great company to deal with. My e-mails were responded to a lot faster than expected. I was having problems with my pay pal account due to my credit card number being stolen and they gave me alternative suggestions on how to pay. They said about two weeks turn around time. I got it back two weeks to the day UPS said they would have my core. I sent in a core to be modified because I wanted to make sure I had the correct throttle linkage. For the price, this is a great simple upgrade I would suggest to anyone.

I love this thing. It seemed like I had a dead spot when I was accelerating. The best way to describe it is it felt like turbo-lag only I don't have a turbo. This t.b. cured that. Now the acceleration is even. The butt dyno says it has more power but we'll see next Saturday when I take it to the track. My best time is 15.2 but the weather back in January was cooler when I made that run. If my times don't improve I may have to wait for it to cool off to get a fair comparison.

Thats pretty badass AZ.
Now just out of curiousity wouldn't the 52mm decrease your fuel economy? That being said you do have a 360 in there so I doubt you care :P!

A larger throttle body is suppose to increase fuel economy but not if your heavy on the throttle. I won't know until I make another all highway trip. Check out this thread on my recent experience with fuel economy, speed, and towing: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...nd-milage.html.

I have a 360 and no I don't care. I built this truck as a shop truck and tow rig. Good fuel economy would be nice but it's not my top concern. I have too much fun with this truck being heavy on the throttle.

Nice! Have you done the Kegger mod to open up the intake to put that TB to work?
I got a 53mm TB myself, worth every penny.

Kegger mod is next. I just got a spare intake to work on. I'm using an EGR intake so I'm still kicking around what I'm going to do with the center divider around the internal EGR tube.

I also got the Hughes plenum repair kit. Jet Hot is located here so I'm debating on whether I want to get it ceramic coated to keep the heat out of the intake.

Cool. Ceramic coating would be nice, but I wonder how much it could run?

I just got my ceramic coated Hughes aluminum plenum plate back today. It was $50. Jet Hot is closing their Phoenix location. I'm going to have to ship stuff to Oklahoma now.

That's my thinking and why I didn't go with a 54mm. I have some mods on my 5.9 but not enough to warrant a TB that big.
