Default 02 RT Tranny question

I pushed the throttle to the floor to speed through a yellow light and the tranny downshifted fine, but it quickly hit the rev limiter and would not shift up until a let off the throttle. Could a bad Throttle Posistion Sensor cause this? I know I need to replace do to a little rpm increase fluctuationwhile cruise is on.

It sounds like you may just need to adjust the shifter cable it needs to be a little loose.

Your kick down band maybe so far out of adjustment that the trans won't kick down or slips.

Mine liked to downshift too easily after my tranny was rebuilt and it was too tight so it sounds like it may be too loose for you.

Same problem with my tranny. After replacing both speed and output sensors, it seemed to help a little. But later I took my tranny in for its major scheduled maintenance (adjusting the tensioners, etc). Seems to help a little but overall, it can still slip on me during full throttle acceleration in drive mode. So just being safe, I now manually shift the tranny under full throttle so I do not get this slipperage during gear changes in drive mode.
