RE: check engine light
Get the code read at auto zone if it is a 98-99, if it is a 00-03 pull it yourself. Turn the key to the on position (don't turn the engine on) and then to the off position, do this 3 times and on the third time leave it in the on position and write down the code/codes and check them in the engine code index at the top of the page. A CEL isn't only for the gas cap being loose. After you fix the problem you can go to Auto Zone to clear the code orremove the negative cable from the battery for 15 seconds...

Well yes, but tht was only a good side effect. The aux fan does not come on at all, ever (with out the wire jumper) . So tll I get some free cash to replace the temp switch I have do that or no AC. Truck over heats when sitting idle too, so probably also need fan clutch (you starting to remember that thread yet? ) But right now it runs great like this. temp never reaches the 210 mark on the guage, and the AC is like ICE. Not really in a rush to fix it hehe.

Well once I get all the bugs worked out with my fanI'll do a write up on it and you can do the e-fan as well. So far no problem staying at 195 and lots of low end power came back that I lost with the new fan clutch. I'll keep it until I go offroading to see how it handles 4 low at 5 mph
