Aluminum radiator

RE: Aluminum radiator
Kensai,
just popped by to check email, wife had a girl, 7lbs 15oz 20" long 07/17/2007 @ 0923hrs pst.
I suspect flow through the stock radiator is deminished too. I flushed a lot of crap out of the system when I replaced the water pump, which was leaking from the weep hole. What really floored me was the price of an OEM replacement radiator and top hose. AZ wants almost $500 for the radiator and about $104 and change for the top hose and both are special order only.
For now I'm gonna replace the stat cause it may be sticking, I'm also gonna drill two 1/8" holes in the new stat as an added measure for the mean time.
I'm gonna see if I can find a new gauge cluster with temp and oil pressure gauges that have numbers instead of the factory "soccer mom" notches, if not I'll replace them individually and have a pure custom readout.
This radiator job won't be small, but for only a little more time and money it's better than putting up with the stock components' shortcomings.
