My Dodge Dealer is a joke HELP
OK, so I have issues, as you can see from my other posts. I let them replace the CTM and paid for it against my better judgement. It did not fix the stalling problem. So they told me when I called earlier in the week that they would order the PCM and have it on hand when my husband came back from Detroit they would fix it. Well I call them this morning to tell them he is back in town and we want to get it in today. Oh NO, he says now, we have to put it on a co-pilot and the next time it does it this co-pilot thing will tell them what is wrong. So I say "why didn't you do this when you had it for a week and made me pay for a part I did not need" So then I got to talk to the Service Manager, who pretty much says they won't just replace this because YOU WANT IT. He might have to pay for it, this is under warranty, and they won't give me a new one. I am so upset!!! My husband has to go back to Detroit to work and they expect him to drive this faulty vehicle until it does it again. So what they are telling me is my Husbands life is not as important as this $700 part that he might have to pay for if Dodge finds that it is not faulty. OH MY GOD! So I say you want my husbands life on your head, because if something happens tohim in this faulty vehicle I WILL SUE YOU and Daimler-Chrysler... Mu husband is worth a whole lot more than this Fricking PCM. Any one have any suggestions for me? Please I am at my end with this vehicle and Dodge.
In a situation like that, it may be better if your husband finds a local dealer over in detroit and explain your problems with the dealer in Detroit and what the problems are. Hopefully the other dealer will get you taken care of the first time around. You can problaby try contacting chrysler themselves and file a complaint on your local dealer.
If by chance your extended warranty can be authorized by a non dealership, you can take it to a private certified mechanic to fix it for you and your extended warranty will pay that mechanic instead.

Well that is a thought, except neither my husband or myself wants to drive this thing. He won't take it to Detroit, it is unsafe to drive. I have a call into the Zone rep. and I am awaiting his reply to see if he will ok the PCM without doing a co-pilot. Even then I won't drive this thing, it is a death trap, as it accelerates all on its own.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Good luck and hopefully you will have this resolved one way or another without having to drive the Durango off the cliff!! [grin]. We're all praying for your success!
I did get this resolved, and the D is still with me.. Just wanted to thank all of you that replied, I learned alot and felt like I knew what I was talking about when I did confront the dealer and zone rep. Thanks Much.
That is great to hear Kay! And glad that you still kept the Durango! Hopefully any issues you have going forward, come to us here in Dodgeforums for any quick assistance and hopefully you will never have to contact your local dealer anymore unless all else fails.
