I found buying better QUALITY of gas makes a big difference, how big?

Fill up in Nashville, TN after months of buying the cheapest gass could find, Run out of gas when reach Bristle, va. (around 300 miles)
Same fill up, but last 1/2 dozen tanks were from "better" stations (Shell, etc) .. reach bristle truck still claims 76 miles left in the tank, reading around 1/4th.

Calculated difference in my test is 20 to 30%. Cheapest mod ever I drive this same route probabl 4 or 5 times a year.

As my sig claims.. 5.9L 4wd 2000 Durango. No idea what that rear thingy number is, but I do thave the tow group and heavey duty service group what ever that means s No real mods other then K&N airfilter. I want to do more... but need find a job first LOL

EDIT: this was all with 87 octange which is what my user manual says is right for my truck.

I just finished a 500km (~300mi) trip and averaged about 14L/100km (~16.5mpg). This trip was purely highway driving, but with at least 3 hours of stop and go traffic, and 200km of hills. I had 5 people, with baggage (prolly 150lbs worth) in the D.

believe it or not, I'm very happy with the mileage. This is probably the best avg I have ever gotten.

My question is......would you be happy with this mileage??

Load a pic in photobucket or some other picture hosting site then copy the img tag and paste it in your sig. The usual rule on mostforumsis to keep them about the size of my current sig.

Well you wouldn't scratch anything up out there as long as you yank those sidesteps, The trails are very wide so no trees reaching out and touching you but you may want to make sure to keep your distance between you and the guy in front of you there are some spots where it is extremely dusty like you can't see in front for more than 10 feet.

Oh and mine has 54K miles on it and I was getting it dirty at about 37K miles (I got it at 29768 miles, I don't know how I remember that number but it's stuck with me [8D])
