Default Issue with 2000 SLT

4x4 after the truck heats up like on an acrooss town trip whther I am at a stop sign, driving up or down a winding road I hear a grind/whine from the front end. I took it to the dealer and they couldn't replacate the issue.

Power steering check, fluids good. etc.. It's so loud though![:-]

but then... I noticed something I was coming home from work and pulled in front of my house and heard the noise. So I parked it and left it on... Popped the hood. and looked around.. heard nothing but I thought I only hear it when I am slightly turning the wheel. So I left the hood open and peered through the dash and could see as I slowly turned the wheel my fan was digging into my belt [:@] So I stopped turning but found my problem. I think.. is that expensive and/or what's wrong?[X(]

Fan is digging into the belt? Is it loose or has it been in an accident? Obviously it isn't supposed to do that. Also, get a new dealer for service. If they can't find that, they suck.

make sure fan assembly or belt is not loose. then check your motor mounts sounds like they are giving too much flex.

Motor mounts?!?1? Nope I doubt that is the issue since everything is attached to the engine and then the engine is attached to the motor mounts.

Well guess wht they couldn't find the problem but half way guess what happened the FAN kick on then the noise start again. My neighbor thinks it's my power steering pump but I don't think so... Nothing loose, no accidents.. It worries me though..

A power steering pump isn't $500.
