Default 'Click' When I Try to Start - Battery is Good

Any ideas? It did it once or twice sometime back, but now when I go to start my 99, 5.9 it clicks and will not start. The battery is good and plenty of power is available. If I go back and try to start it again after a while, the car often starts.

Is this an issue with spark plugs or a sarter or something else? Any ideas?

Definitely your starter. This is a pretty classic example of how you can tell when a starter is going out. Definitely get it replaced ASAP or you'll end up stranded one day as it will not work at all.

The only other thing I could think would be a bad connection but with a bad connection and that click all of the electrical on the truck will cut out for about 30 seconds or so.

My diesel did this and it turned out to be the contacts in the starter. Bought the parts from www.fixinrams.com for $39 and it took about an hour to do. Beats the price of $189 for a new starter.

Ive been at trying to get the old starter out for hours! The angles are tough, but the mounting bolts are on so tight I can't move them. I've used about half a can of PB Blaster, but still nothing. Every muscle in my body aches from pulling under the car. Any suggestions?
