i was looking at some of the vids, why not just rip the heat coils out of a cheap hair dryer and hook that up, it would give you a lot more air than an electric pump or an open intake

John it would not improve airflow for you at all making a separate intake for it. These things have been tried. If you want forced induction you have to pay for it by going with a supercharger or turbo.

I know a kid that put a leaf blower under the hood of his Mitsubishi and it actualy worked pretty well (went for a ride with it on, and with it off). Would never do it to anything of mine (a little to hack and slash). Lots of guys are using homemade ram air with great succes. Ever notice how many cars you see at the track missing a headlight?

When I put the Hypertech 93 octane program in my '99 I picked up 1.5 mpg city and highway. Great improvement in power too! (no dyno, just feel a good difference)

I tried a K&N 14X3" filter on top my R/T and found it flowing to much air 1/3 to 2/3 throttle. The engine would go so lean it'd bog and make a LOUD sucking noise. Bottom end was great, top end was great. Hated to give up the added power off idle, and at the top end, but went back to original.

Hmm, I would say for the big v8's, we may need to hook up two leaf blowers! Damn, wonder what people think when they hear a truck driving down the street that sounds like a leaf blower! haha

listen to my idea, Ok iv been thinking of relocating my battery and in effect this will also make room for an additional pipe i belive so what about of making an dual snorkal cai? one in the typical place and the other on the right side of the radiator where the battery would be about.

But how would i connect the two pipes to the TB, im guessing if im using plastic pipes, i could cut open an whole in on of the pipes an glue/jb weld the other pipe to the inside.

So how much would all this cost me, including two $30 air filters. Thanks.

you would probably use a piece of PVC Y pipe if you are following this thread as a guide
