Default Upgrades

I am looking at doing some upgrades, just wondering if anyone has any insight or tips for which brands etc.

First I am looking at a stainless header either Gibson or OBX. Money aside is stainless the best performing material or is ceramic better. How much should I look to pay for it and with minimal experience andtools is this a DIY.

Second upgrade: Exhaust, again brands price and materials.I know Dual is kinda a no go on Durangos with thespare underneath. Again looking at Gibson or Borla. Any others to consider?

Third Upgrade:A 51 or 52 MM throttle body. Is Fastman the only place to get a good throttle bodyupgrade?

Thats about all my questions just making sure I get these right. Also is there something else for the money that trumps one of these. Thanks

I can help you with the exaust not so sure about the headers and TB's but a dual exaust is NOT out of the question i have true dual exaust on my durango no cats under it with flowmaster 40s under it the just had to do an offset pattern under it if you really want the dual exaust take ur time and look for someone that will do it, when i got my exaust done he had never done a exaust job on a durango b4 mine was his fisrt and he done a good job, and i love the way it sounds and preforms.

I think Jet makes TB's for our D's. Headers should definitely have aceramic coating, without the ceramic on there your underhood temps will soar, When I was researching them $500-600 was the norm. As far as duals like Yellow said it is doable but don't buy a system on the net just go to an exhaust shop that can do their own bending and they can route it all around the spare. You will actually get more out of a single out exhaust though.

I'm personally thinking my next mod is a more aggressive cam and PCM tune to cope with it.

Look into swain coating for the headers. It's the ultimate in thermal coating.

Ok so who makes the best single exhaust, performance wise Flowmaster? Borla?

if you pm me, i have 10 sets left of stainless shorty headers for sale @250 per pair. ceramic coating could be done for a additional fee.
as it goes for the dual exhaust I built a few sets for customersin my shop but for me and my d we will stay a single pipe

As far as performance they are all about the same, it is all preference on how you want the D to sound. I have the FM original 40 but a lot of guys think that it's too loud on the inside. I am 24 so I feel it could be louder and the interior resonance isn't bad to me.

Duranged how much extra for ceramic coating???

my opinion is magnaflow but opinions vary aero turbine makes a good resonator the ar25. or just remove the muffler and straight pipe loud upon cold start but in 3-5 minutes sounds pretty good.
