Fan Clutch removal problem
Howdy all,
I am in need of some Dire help please.
I own a 1999 Dodge Durango and the fan clutch is my problem area.
The clutch finally went out and I for the life of me can't keep the pulley from moving to break the nut in the back. could anyone please give me some advice on how to keep it from moving. I am seem to be doing everything I can only to fail.

couple of things you can try... if the pulley bolts to the pump, wedge a screwdriver between the bolts & then torque on the clutch nut, if not, you'll need to get a strap wrench to hold the pulley while you loosen the nut.

You have to keep the pully from turning to break the bolt free. like steveo said, strap wrench works great for this job. there is a special tol though that you can probably get from the zone for free to use.
