hi
I have a 98d 5.2l
how do you adjust the blend doors for the heating system
the haynes manual doesn't show it
any help would be appreciated as it is getting cold up here

There areno manual adjustment. You would to replace the blend doors or the recir door as well. The dash would have to come out and heater box too.

In most cases, it is problaby your heater core clogged up and you can try a reverse flush before going the extreme of tearing down the dash to replace the core.

ST67:

Have you done any trouble shooting?? Grip both lines to the heatercore, and make sure they are warm. Do you have any air movement at all??

Check coolant level. If its low, heater won't produce much if any heat. The earlier D's are known for heater core issues.

As Kensai and MT have said, you really want to try all other means to resolve this, as acess to the heater core/box requires dash removal which is neither fun nor cheap.

If your system has not been flushed in the last 3 yrs or 36k, now is a good time to do it.
