First, I personally think it would look pretty silly having the front end lifted and not the rear. That's purely personal preferance, though.
actually the rear end already sits 2" higher than the front... cranking the torsion bars will level the stance of the D. Prolly won't even notice it after a couple days...

lifting the front 2 inches will only make a slight difference in weight distribution, it wouldnt concern me at all... Ice is ice, its going to be slippery no matter what, just gotta drive according to road conditions...

I don't see any reason to worry about going from 31" (stock) to 32" tires all around... You might not even have to crank the tbars... best bet is to get the tires, see if you like how they clear at all corners, then decide whether you need a tbar lift or not... it's only going ot cost you an allignment (which you should get after buying new tires anyways)

Thanx for the input. I'm going to try it w/o the lift, see how rides, if there's any rubbing. Worst case I have to install the shackles and crank the torsion bars.

I just did a torsion/shackle lift, it is easy and straight forward and didn't take very long to do. When I ordered my shackles I did lift the front to equal the rear about 2", it did change the way the truck felt while driving it. It was very touchy on the steering input so the wieght transfer from lifting it will make a difference. It had a lot more body-roll and felt squatty, I did not like the way it drove with only the torsion bars cranked in. Once I recieved my shackles and put them on the steering returned to the way it was before. My plan is to put 33's under it but I may have to trim the fenders a little. As to continuing to be a family vehicle my Durango still sits lower than my 4Runner did stock so I wouldn't worry to much about that, my wife plays with the Durango every day, and didn't even notice the 2 1/2 inches difference.

Slight rub in reverse only and I mean slight. Very happy with it. Thanx for all the input...by the way, didn't have to crank
