Default RE: 2000-2003 Durango Recall

Just checking up on this recall, I had the uppers replaced be the dealer, as per the recall, and don't you know it the break caliber locks up on me about 3 weeks later. I don't driver the truck often and I mite have had 50 miles on it when the breaks lock, So I take it back to them and they break the bleeder off and tell me I have to pay for a new caliber......1k later and I get my truck back, and they want to do an oil service ....NO F...ING WAY will I go back to them.
Did they cause the problems???? not intenionaly I sopose,,, But if they break somthing aren't they responsible for there misstaks????
any way just adding to the clip.........

I have a 2002 4 x 2 Durango. Can anyone verify that the 100,000 mile ball joint warranty extension exists for the 4 x 2's?

Is this recall still applicable? This is the first time I've come about this and I have a 2002 SXT 4x4. Also what is the procedure in applying for this recall as the local dealer?

The 02 was covered. However, if you are not the original owner you probably are out of luck. Also, since it is 2008 and 6 years old, you are also probably out of luck.

With all that said, you need to swap them out regardless. Go back in with Moog BJs... not stockers.

I bought mine about 2 years ago and went online to check TSBs and saw that my ball joints had not been done, called the local dodge dealer and had it in the next day. No hassle

I would agree with Magnum on this one. A recall for a vehicle is a recall it shouldn't matter if it was 8 years later and 2 owners later its still the same product..

It's great if you can get it... but they are not required to. As Chrysler continues to go broke... such gimmies are getting fewer and fewer.

I cant agree more. Moog are lifetime warrenty, and one of mine ended up going bad after 2 months because the installer did not grease them. As my luck would have it i lost the receipt for when i purchased the ball joints so i cant get replacement.
