question about lift kits

Default question about lift kits

guys i need some insight i have a buddy with a lift kit on a 2001 durango and is wanting to take it off i have a 98 durango what is the differences from one year to the other and why 2 different body lift kit numbers,

will the kit from a 2001 fit a 1998 with out modifications

any help would be great thanks

i think the body mounts should be the same... the difference between those years is the interior mainly, and the trasfer case went from being manually operated by a floor lever to electronically controlled...

I don't think there would be too much difference in the kits...

included in the kit would be the spacers, new bolts, bumper relocation brackets, a steering coloumn extension, and possibly an extension for the transfer case...

there really shouldnt be a difference between the two kits... can you post links for the two kits?

This is why they made 2 kits.

Just get the right one.

ok guys i got the scoop... the only difference is the steering extension and the fuel filler extension thats it both can be purchased seperately

it is when you get the kit for free and all you have to do is take it off otherwise no the cost would out way buying a different kit
