I was thinking of something similar but i have an 03 sxt and don't want the ghost letters after I peel off the stickers.

Thanks. I bought this 02 SLT + with the 5.9 in it about a year ago. I added a magnaflow exhaust system. It has 58,000 miles on it and I removed the orginal letters from the back, which were "Durango" and "4x4" since they were peeling. I used a hair dryer and floss to remove the letters, then used goo gone to get the rest off. Hope that helps. Afterwards I waxed the area and didn't have any ghosting. Good luck.

 

Where did you get the emblems from ? i have been looking for some and cannot find any for my 5.9

I am pretty sure they are the same block letters from other sites such as chromeemblems.com, but they were a bit cheaper and a ton cheaper than the dealer.

 

What style did you get?

 

Also, did you put any on the side of the front fenders?

 

I only put emblems on the back. I like the clean look on the sides. I ended up removing the SLT and just have the 5.9 and 4x4 on the back. I bought the regular block letters
