Its an extremly loud squeak coming from the front end. Does it whether the vehicle is moving or not. I have replaced the upper and lower ball joints on two different occasions. As well as the tie rod ends. It has been squeaking consistently for about 3 years now. I have been to 3 or 4 different mechanics in 2 different states and they were all baffled. I love my durango but that infernal squeak is about to push me over the edge. Can anyone offer any suggestions, or has anyone had any similar experiences? PLZZZZ HELP!!!!

does it squeak over bumps? verrrry good chance that its the sway bar bushings... It has happened to me since I gt my D 3 years ago.. they dry rot, and SQUEAK LIKE A ****...i think there are OEM replacements, you may just have to go to the dealership to get them... search the forum, this issue came up recently

aftermarket polyeurthane bushings. no one makes a kit for the 00 durango. It's custom fit so you have to get the fittings and try to get a exact match for replacement. I spent way too much time and energy researching this on internet and talking to a few people at the counter concerning this and it is pretty much trial and error match and fit. I decided to go back to oem bushings.

just inside the wheel well....and its louder on the driver's side i would say.
I would go with the swaybar bushing replacment that Deerang recommended. Mine squeaked when the D gets rocked in any direction, moving or stationary. After replacing the bushings, no more squeaks.

Wow... I was getting ready to post the exact same question. Im having the SAME Exact issue with squeeking. I gotta take mine in for some work anyways.... Might as well get this done along with the Window motor issue, stalling and the D being able to shift out of "P" without pressing the brake.

I have always been able to do that... as long as the key is in the accessories position (or whatever the first click is)i can shift out of park..being able to shift out of "P" without pressing the brake.
Me too!
I have never looked into the stearing column to see what was going on. There should be a small locking device that is gummed up or worn out or something.
Let us know the fix?

I would try to squeeze myself under the truck with a can of wd40 or something every few days and track down the squeak. Throwing parts at your truck can get expensive.
