Not sure on the seats?

Go get just regular Champion plugs OEM, Champion Truck Plugs, or Champion Iridium Plugs. DO NOT INSTALL ANY PLATINUM. Gap them at .040

Cap and rotor you can pick up good ones. What you want on these are definatly brass contacts.

Wires should be OEM from the dealer or MSD 8.5mm wires. These are the only ones I have had good luck with. Most people have had many problems with others manufactures. Here are some part mumbers for the 1998 5.9L, they sould be the same.

DSM:

You most likely have a wiring issue or a burned out heating element. IIRC, the part priceis not bad, but the process of getting the seat apart to replace it is not real fun.

RE: heated seats & tune up
Fairly simple, you should have a two wire connector to each warmer (upper/lower) Locate the connectors then test the resistance for a break. ( meter-Ohm-OFL bad)

Just a heads up, the seat warmers blinking is actually a diagnostic mode. Instead of telling you which circuit i'll learn ya.

RE: heated seats & tune up
Well, it could be either. Open pretty much is telling you the power is not making it around the circuit such as a OFL reading on a meter for resistance. So give the connector a test, if theres no connection between the circuit you gotta take her apart. (

Thanks for the diagnostic chart! That may come in handy someday. I love my heated seats
