Hey guys,

I have a problem with the back hatch of my 1999 durango. It won't open. It started out buy not working all of the time. Now it wont work at all. The locking mechanism still seems to be working fine. I can notice a difference in how the handle feels, between locked and unlocked. It feels like it is operating properly, so it must be te latch that is not releasing. Maybe it is rusted or something?!?!?

But heres my question:

Is there a way to access this from the inside of the vehicle so I can work on it? Or could you give me any other tips on how I can get this thing open?
