The only thing diesel fuel lubes on a diesel engine is the fuel system components (pump and injectors). Fuel is a terribble lube in general but is better than nothing. Diesels can run on just about anything. I started a cummins at school on acetylene when the damned fuel lines wouldn't bleed out. That did the trick to get her going.

Here was a cool little artical.

The concept of a hydrogen-powered go-kart race sounds very exciting, and that’s exactly what the Dutch based company Formula Zero wants to do. The whole idea behind this is to set up a new fuel cell race car category to help generate public enthusiasm, and through this method they are also trying to get young engineers interested in hydrogen cars. By far this is the only competition in the world dedicated to fuel cell vehicles and high-speed racing.

Hydrogen is run through a fuel cell, turned into electricity, and a bank of ultra-capacitors is used to buffer electricity between the fuel cell and the motor. The motor is used for regenerative breaking, which can put electricity back into the ultra-capacitors. Element One paired their fuel cell with ultra-capacitors. But with all this they also had to make their cart lighter, and hence built a 100 percent non-tubular carbon fiber frame. This indeed was a risk worth taking, and it ultimately resulted in the victory of Lawrence Tech’s Element One team in the first-ever Formula Zero design competition. This certainly is an indication of far we have progressed and how each and every one of us shows deep concern toward the environment.

Default Just installed my own HHO generator

I just installed my own HHO generator on my 98 Dodge 1500. Too early for mileage improvement but my truck was getting 14 mpg in town.

Ty Hydra,if you have plans e-mail them to me or link them. I'll search the rest of this thread for info.
You can never have enough info.I'm still workin on a device to remove the oxygen safely and just inject hydrogen so the o2 sensors don't exceed values.
So a work around or control box won't be necessary to fool the comp when the o2 sesors give a value to high for the comp parameters to lean the motor too.
Atleast that seems to be a common problem when generatin the volume of hydrogen necessary to see any higher mileage benefits from these systems.Course most true hydrogen systems use platinum for the cathodes[hydrogen side] and another metal for the anodes[oxygen side]. But hell ,blown chit up sometimes is the mother of all inventions.
