Default weak A/C not real cold or blowing hard

ive had the A/C system charged but still ****-poor cooling and blowing. the blower works at all the levels its supose to but just weak.
is this the resistor pack ive been reading about? If so where is it?? the A/C temp never gets below 55 deg F out of the vent. my other car has hit 37 deg f

Default RE: weak A/C not real cold or blowing hard

Several things come to mind:

blend door issue or possible bad H-Valve for the cooling side. Also, at max cooling setting, at high speed, 55 degree would be the norm for these Durangos IF you live in blistering heat climates like Texas and Arizona. You may also want to power wash your A/C condenser coil that is located in front of your radiator in case there is blockage.

Otherwise, you can do these following steps to help the A/C improve on its cooling efficiency.

1. wrap the cold side of the A/C lines from the compressor to the firewall.
2. Purchase a dashmat cover for your dash. (The inside of the durango cooled off much faster with the mat and I never set the A/C pass the 2nd speed blower setting to maintain temp control.)
