2002 Durango AC blows cool not cold
Short and sweet my server is being uncooperative.
Wife's 2002 Durango 5.9, Auto, 4wd, Front/rear AC
Fully charged and no leaks
92 Degrees outside, air in vents 85 degrees
Compressor not cycling on much if at all, cooling fan moves so much air it drowns out other noises.
Engine doesn't lug down when AC is switched on.
Auxiliary radiator fan does kick on when A/C switched on.
Thoroughly stumped here.

Only two things come to mind after you have confirmed your checks:
1. Blend door not fully shut (mixes hot/cold air
2. Possible H Valve may be going out.
Is your rear ac blowing cold or same? If the same, I would tend more on the H valve, but if your rear ac is blowing cold, then I would ten more on blend door.

It's blowing the same front or rear. the parts store just delivered my manual so I'm going to check terminals tonight and see if there is anything not getting told what to do. What's the H-valve?
H-Valve is the Expansion Valve. Front valve is located on the passenager side firewall in engine compartment. Back valve is located in rear right panel. Are any of ac lines cold?
Yes the lines are cold, but messing with it yesterday we did find a leak in the valve were you charge it up....so we are taking it to a guy today to have that valve swithed and then charged and I will get back with you to let you know if this solves the problem.

This is an interesting problem then. You said the lines are cold, but the front and rear is just so so. Is the return line coming back to compressor sweating? If so, then it is very cold. If it is just cold, but no sweat, it is not cold enough. This can indicate a bad h-valve or leak or constriction freon flow.

Well I found out that there is no water coming off of the front of the car were the evaporater cooler is. Does that mean it might be bad? It doesnt leak on the inside either?????????????????????? HELP

My gauges are junk. I broke down and took it to a shop that fixes what I can't figger out. It needed evacuated and was about 1 lb low.It blows nice and cold now.
