A challenge for you

My niece bought a used 98 or 99 Durango. If she leaves the battery cables on, the battery runs down. Replaced with new battery. Same thing. Any ideas???

The problem maybe the truck has a 12 volt draw. Need start by what is on, dimmer switch or glove box door is ajar keeping the lite on.

Could be a diode in the Alt. Try to watch a digital multi meter while pulling the fuses one by one until you see the voltage rise?
