I am using colder plugs than what’s recommended by the manufacturer, as a mechanic told me that due to the supercharger I needed to run colder plugs and they are autolites, I just installed those 2 weeks ago with brand new bosch wires. Cap and rotor where replaced about 2 months ago. As for the cat I shook it and I hear no noise. I have checked for leaks and checked for cracked hoses but those seem to be fine. I took it to the muffler shop and he said he couldn’t test it just replace it for $250 and that if I got the 420 code I should go ahead and replace it.
Okay lets see let me describe the symptoms and the codes that I get. I get the 1494, 420 and the 442. Also my D is stalling a various speed with no warning; it usually takes between 15 to 30 minutes to start back. Lately when the D stalls I go and try to restart it and it does but with the rpm really low then it stalls, and what seems to be the exhaust smoke comes out of the intake filter. When that happens I go ahead and restart it and it turns back on with no problem. This is very annoying and a lot of work especially when I have to push the D out of an intersection and these things are heavy

First, off get those wires out of there! Bosch wires are crap!
Second, call the manufacture about the heat range for the Super Charger. You need to get some Champion Plugs in there!
Third, I think you need to get some better spark in there to fully combust the mixture. I would suggest a hotter plug so therefore I would run an MSD ignition coil and wires.
Like I said, call the manufacture.
As for the CAT;
Take it to a muffler shop and have them do a back pressure test on it. This is usually a free test to ensure yours is in good range. If you have more than 2 1/2 lbs. I would replace it with a Hi Flow MagnaFlow 3" and have them install a 3" "Y" pipe and headers for added flow.

From my experience of owning a forced induction vehicle (85 turbo shelby), it is always better to run colder plugs for forced induction engines. You should not have to worry about the heat range since you are already increasing the compression ratio by several factors, it will generate the the extra heat in the combustion chamber.
Forced air induction engines runs much better with colder plugs for those that likes to run their engines in the upper rpm range

Well heres an update; I have replaced all the plugs with champions and i also replaced all the wires again. and to my suprise there was no change my D: still had no power. Took it back to the muffler shop where I got my catalytic converter so they could check it out as i thought that was my problem they told me that my D: is running too rich and that it burnt my Cat again this was within a couple of days of installing it and that its not covered by the warranty and I need to pay for the replacement but he recommends I get the fuel mixture checked out before installing a new one. Any one know how to time these Durangos or how to turn the fuel down? OH and just to top it of it wont pass smog not because a bad cat but because it has a supercharger

Have you checked all the O2 sensors? I think those sensors govern the PCM to lean or rich the fuel mixture.
No pass inspection because of supercharger? Wow, what a strict state? What state are you in? I don't see how a supercharger voids inspection if it does not pollute more out the pipe.
Otherwise, all forced air induction vehicles would have to pay a penalty where you live!
