I bought a pump this week and am waiting to run the tank down to install. The assembly cost about $225 and with 150K miles on the truck, it's probably overdue. Thanks for all the good input!

On the top, remember to disconnect the fuel tube from the fender. You can do this from under the drivers rear side by the axel. This is the time to think about replacing this 3 inch rubber section. You can get it from any parts store just make sure it is rated for fuel. If there is any pinching on this section be aware of it so at install of the tank it can be fixed. This maybe why there might be fueling problems. Also before trying to remove it soak the threads in a lubricant on the strap bolts (2).
