Default 02 durango drivers side seat warmer

has any one experienced the driver side seat warmer inop, both low and high settings.




Gibson single exhaust, 180T, Personal made front grill, Custom made air funnel, home brewed short ram. IAT relocated, TPS modified, autolite 3923 SPs.Bilstein HD, 140,000+ miles still running smooth and strong have had no major problems.

yes


the switch just flashes hi when you turn on either setting there is an open circuit(i think )in it which just means that one of the wires are broken inside and the circuit isnt completeing you need to replace the heater element which is attached to the marterial that gives the seat its shape so its really kind of expensive so im not bothering with it

If you have a voltmeter you can check voltage drop across the switch. it shouldn't be more than .1 volt.
Everytime I've seen this issue come up it is the heating element that has the problem.

exactly, or at least that is what i did for it i also managed to switch the switch with the one from the passenger seat to make sure that it would work the passenger heater and it did on mine, if you know what you are doing you could try to do that too
