Default 2000 - Strong Vibrations/Pulls to the Left above 65MPH

Hey guys, I have a 2000 5.9L

It has really strong vibrations (can feel it in the steering wheel and even in the seat) when it goes above 65MPH.

Also, it really pulls hard to the left and takes a lot just to keep it going straight.

This is what I have done so far and it has not phased the problem at all:

1) Replaced Left and Right Front Hub Assemblies
2) Had All Wheels Aligned
3) Checked Tires and they are good

Any ideas????

Look at all of your suspension components. Something up there is no good. Check for anything loose. Ball joints, tie rod ends, etc. Also make sure your brakes aren't dragging.

Do you think it is the ball joints??

How can I know for sure??

I did notice that in parking lots, when I am making hard turns (wheel hardover), that it feels like there is some kind of slipping or something....Kind of like a jump....is that the ball joints then??

Describe first how this comes about... IE- under accelleration, coasting, vibration slowly intesifies, etc etc

Since you ruled out hubs and alignment i want to say these (1-2 being most)

Driveshaft/U-joints

Lower ball joints

Tire-(balanced weights both sides/separated belt/bent rim/etc)

All I'm suggesting is to diagnose the problem first then replace as necessary. If you lift the D and touch between 2 components ie ball joint and control arm and wiggle the tire you may feel some play. If there is play replace the component. I suggest moog for everything up front.

Ok, great news---found out what it is!!

Out of curiousity, I wanted to see what would happen by rotating the two front tires.

Now, it pulls to the right instead of pulling to the left

After further checking out the now passenger side tire, it appears that one of the belts inside had busted. This would definately explain the pull and the vibration---new tires on the way from TireRack.com !!!

Thanks guys for all of your help!
