I will wait a couple days. It's seems to be a few days after replacing o2's or the pump or whatever i put into it that the engine light comes on. The truck went to 4 different places including dodge and nobody thought to check the plugs. I wish i would have found this site before now, i paid just under a $100 for dodge to get the codes. Not knowing i could have done it. Only one place replaced a set of o2's for free after the ones they put in burnt up. In any case, i will keep you up to date and definitely ask you guys if for help if the light comes on again. Thanks.

Wouldnt that be pretty if it was the only plugs.. I feel your pain though, when i first modded up the D i was greeting by a set of +4 Bosche plugs, biggest mistake i've ever done and never again have i dared to try another set. The diagnosis was bleek at first and if anything i put too much trust in the plugs untill $$$$$$$$'s later i checked. 8,000 miles and 4 plugs dropped gap. Ouch....

8000?? Dang!! This D belongs to my daughter, who lives 2 hours away. Try to get accurate info from a 18 year old girl who's only concern is when does fall out boy come too town again? So it makes it hard for me to diagnose the problem without driving it. I also don't think about plugs to much cuz my own truck is a 1ton dually diesel. She is driving that till i get hers fixed. So like you said, hope it was the plugs.

I won't be thinking plugs too much myself either. I'm in school to be a diesel tech which I'm pretty much done with.

Diesel mechanic huh? That's cool. I probably know just as much as you after 264000 miles and virtually have replaced every part in the cummins. I like working on my own stuff. I drove the durango last night a few miles and the engine light came on. code is P0137 (o2 sensor low voltage bank 1 sensor 2). I'm guessing it's because the sensor was bad already. Think that might be? When i started i had 6 codes. Now only 1. Do you think i can expect the other codes to come back? Sorry if the questions seem dumb but o2's are complicating to me. Thanks guys.

Quicky for you, when the oxy sensor was replaced was it done OEM? Meaning did someone use the plug and play connector or did someone splice and solder. If this is the orig sensor i say just try replacing it. The code indicates grounded low voltage so it could be on its way out or a dirty or loose connector.

It's a possibility that it got burned up. You are definitely on the right track. Check out 408's suggestion. When it comes to emmission stuff you should stick to OEM for the most part.

I'm sure it was just a plug in one. I will check it out tonight to make sure. I know i will probably see when i look tonight but there must three sensors on there right? One on the driver side, one on passenger side and one after converter. So would bank 1 sensor 2 be the one after converter? Can't wait to crawl on the floor of the garage tonight when the temp is supposed to be 2 degrees. Reno is sounding good right about now. I will let ya know what i find out. Thanks guys.
