Good move bro, not a price i'd pay for a base D. I was going to call them up and ask wtf is their problem but im too busy today. Check out some here in NY, they are dime a dozen. A little trip to save the $$ never hurt. But then again, hell if thats the market in PA im sooo bringing my D there next week lol

Ouch that's some BS. 7700 for a 10 year old D is a little high. $5000 tops is what I'd pay especially since gas isn't gonna stay at $2.** a gallon. When I bought the D I could afford to drive it but this last summer I found myself driving my wifes slushbox Scion xA every chance I could. It definitely does one thing very well and that is sipping gas.

Oh and BTW the 01 5.2 is nonexistent, they changed out the 5.2 for the newer 4.7 in 2000 and stuck with the 5.9 for more power.

yeah it didnt specify what engine it was all it said was V8..so I'm guessing since its only an SLT its the 4.7...dealerships are just oh so informative....

This chart details a range of prices in year-by-year listings for vehicles in three condition levels:
Good: a clean low-mileage, solid-running vehicle that needs little or no repair.
Average: a car with normal miles on the odometer, perhaps a few scrapes or dings; engine might need a minor repair or two, but runs acceptably well.
Poor: might have potentially dangerous problems with the engine and/or body, or abnormally high mileage; definitely in need of mechanical attention. Valuations reflect wholesale prices paid by dealers at auction, and retail prices on used-car lots. Each range covers all trim levels and engine types for a vehicle with a typical amount of equipment--usually an automatic transmission, air conditioning, stereo, etc. Fully loaded vehicles may cost more. Average mileage is 12,000 miles per year. Keep in mind that these are guidelines only. Actual selling prices vary- especially from region to region.

Rolling check the sticker under the hood for engine size if you want to. I have the 5.9 in my SLT.
The R/T and SLT are the top two trims. Were you referring to the SXT? I personally would rather have my SLT. Tires are easier to find (and cheaper). The R/T is only AWD as well which I don't need so why bother. The R/T has like 5 more HP which isn't that hard to make up at all. I'm sure I could smoke any stock R/T with the few things I've done at this point anyway.
