99 durango tries but wont start

Now that I think of the problem with the fuse I really don't think they play together.
Ok. The basics to spark on the 5.2L is this. Check the coil.
If you don't have a tester then start here-> Take the coil wire off the distributer and place it very close to ground. About 1/8th an inch. A good ground would be the intake manifold. Have someone else crank the motor and see if there is spark jumping between ground and the end of the wire. If no then it is a crankshaft sensor or if it is none or very weak the a coil. ( not to just through parts at it or anything ) Remember that you can test if you have a multi meter.
If everything is fine proceed to the distributer cap. You will want to do a tune up anyway if it has been a while so go to Auto Zone or your favorite company and get a new distributor cap and rotor. Spend the $2 bucks more and get the one with brass contacts. (they are better) Replace.
The next thing is the wires. Wires should only be OEM or I like MSD and here are the part numbers for the whole thing. Part Numbers for 5.9 Performance Ignition
Spark plugs should only be Champion Regular Copper, Champion Truck Plugs, or Champion Iridium Plugs.
I think you need to take the battery out and have it load tested and also the alternator though.
We can still go farther if needed.

3 ways to test
1 (is test the ohms)
2 like hydra said
Pull the coil wire of the distributor cap put a spark plug in it and using gloves put it close to or on a ground with the ignition on you may have to need someone to turn it over. If you are debating on the last just do what hydra said
