Sounds like you have solved the problem to me power going in but none coming out (}:-[)
Also you have jacked the coil wire if you poked a hole in it

No, no holes I just stuck the lead into the end of the boot to make contact with the conector.

Hey, I have a 1999 dodge durango that cranks but won’t start. I was told the fuel pump. The fuel pump is strong I heard it by turning the key. I bought a coil to see if it gives spark. It wont give spark or isn’t firing . I changed the distributor nd cap /rotor still nothing. What do I do from here?
only one code came up after doing the test , p0443.

Does the pump continue to run while cranking?

What engine?
