Default a fresh problem

Hesitation, started yesterday. when cruising at road speed (35-45) if i floor it, it hesitates and sputters for half a second up to 2 seconds.

Dealership says Highly doubt its Fuel filter, as its in the tank and they rarely clog up.

They advised tune up, replace the plugs etc..

I really don't think its tranny related. as i have the 4.7 and I've heard the trannys behind the 4.7 are not as faulty as the 5.9s..

anyone have this issue? I dont have any New CEL's, just the same p-0551 (power steering pressure switch) i already purchased the part.

Disconnect a o2 sensor wire, anyone and see if you have oil coming out of the connector. If you do, the oil pressure is pushing p/s fluid thru the wire harness and could be causing the o2 sensor to cause the hesitation.

4.7L's don't have spark plug wires.

I would pull the plugs and install Champion Truck Plugs or regular Champion Copper Plugs (OEM) or Champion Iridum plugs ONLY!

Second it could be the fuel you are using. Run it out and try a different station like Cheveron. Also you can try upping the octane use. If you use 87 octane maybe try 89 octane and so forth.

With cold temps there might be ice in a fuel line or something like that. You might want to try Heat for fuel system to clear it out.

An O2 sensor like Master could deffinatly be the problem!

I second using some 'heat' in the tank. We had some unusual temps in the 70's here for a few days. this was following weather in the 20's. Truck ran like crap, started hard. etc, etc. Used a bottle of heat, and half a bottle of sea foam in the tank, cleared the problem right upl Think i just had some ecesive moisture in the gas. Try it, couldnt hurt. I usually throw a bottle. of heat in the tank a bout once a month in the winter.

Alright, since first symptoms last week, I have since:

*Changed plugs
*ran 30 gallons now, of Chevron premium
*Chevron Fuel injector cleaner
*Got rid of p-0551 CEL (power steering pressure switch) no more CEL
*Oil change

Still same symptoms.. again, NO CEL. i cant figure it out?
