Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) is located in the dash. Only on 2000 and up models that have electric engagement transfer case.

Transmission Control Module (TCM) is located under the hood usually behind the passenger side head light and controls the transmission.

Currently working on trying to get my used TCCM installed in my 2001 Durango 4.7L by my mechanic in exchange for doing his 2009 income taxes (Labor for Labor).. Been trying to get it done for a couple weeks but stuff keeps coming up or getting in the way..
Like the damn shop owner ..

EDIT: Done! Got it installed this morning and it Works Perfectly!!

Can a bad TCCM be Fixed/Rebuilt
These things are pretty expensive (New or Used) and it would be nice to have a spare should this piece go out again..

I popped my defunked one open. Looked mint. No sign of overheating, corrosion or leaking capacitors. Forget trying to fix. Go fishing with your kids instead.

I know im sort of resurecting this, but its good info anyhow.

There is a Pick N PUll lot in every state, and they now have a vehicle find finction on their website. They dont charge much of anything for any one part, including the TCCM. Im pulling mine out today and will go to the yard to pull that one.
