Just and FYI: I have run Michelin LTX M/S for the last two sets and absolutely love them. Since I now haul a Travel Trailer I went on the hunt for a more sturdy tire, and maybe less expensive. I found the General Grabber HTS P255 70R 16". It carries up to 9 more pounds of pressure , a greater tread life rating and a load range of 111S vs the Michelin 109S. The set of four cost around $100 less. I have put about 500 miles on them so far and like the ride and handling. In my mind it was a 'leap of faith' to move away from the Michelin - but it seems to have been a good move. Just MHO

 

Thanks for all tha replies guys. It seems that DRO318 really knows what i'm going thru. My problem isn't creases in the road, it's the bumps and ripples (i.e pothole fill-ins, tractor-trailer dimples, etc.). I think i will try the shocks first. Let u know how it turns out.

Is there an after market steering stabilizer like the ones that are available for the ram solid axle crew?If not maybe it should become a backyard project to design a solution for the "big wheelers cv"ers.<just a thought.,

1 Bilstien shocks all around.
2 tie rods inner and outer
3 BJ's
4 C-arm bushings
These will cure your prob

Swood... Get your new shocks, not TREs, New BJs, New Bushings and $1500 later, you will have a nice front end and will realize all that is great... I too have recently replaced the entire setup on the front end AND new Bil shocks. However assuming all those are okay and you don't have a functionality issue with your Durango, once completed you will see that you still follow the road based on the surface area of the rubber. Been there, can post the receipts and still traces the road on my other wheels.

DRO, spending $1500 and still not fixing his problem isn't the answer. Sorry you always feel you are wrong or always are told you are wrong online or whatever. As far as I remember, this is the only thread I had had with you here.

Anyways... best of luck on your front end repairs Swood. My suggestion is the place your stockers on there first and see what the feel, feels like. If you have real front end parts that are trashed... you will know regardless of the tires that are on there.

How is that suggestion DRO? Can we agree on that?
