99 Durango stalling when decelerating
I have a 99 durango we just replaced the intake manifold gaskets as the lower plate was sucking oil. Now the truck idles nice and has power but after it warms up it has a small flat spot off idle and dies when slowing down to about 10mph to stop. when cold it does not do this. Help im stumped.

I found the problem as the temp gauge was not working properly so i checked at the temp sensor and found one of the wires had come loose and pushed up into the connector so it was not making contact so the computer must have not been getting the right info as the truck warmed up.

Seemed like a simple question with a simple answer, yet a problem that could have been a bear to diagnose. Had it been another loose sensor wire... and one not tied to a gauge, this could have been a nightmare. The gauge provided for a quick indicator and easy starting point. Not what I would consider homework. Dunno.
I though it was an honest question. With others that may have a similar problem, it is important as a forum to have the background necessary to help in the future.
