Poor Gas Mileage & Loss of power "Solved"
But then again, you never really know exactly WHO made the original in the first place... Hard to tell unless is has the name on it already... I always saved TONS of money with Audi because I always knew who made the parts... Meyle, Bosch, Hella, etc... Then I just went and got THAT part... For instance... OEM o2 sensor for my Audi was nearly $300... (Factory wideband) yet I could get the Bosch version for $60... Original was made by Bosch so I went aftermarket Bosch... Worked better and longer than OEM...
For example, Bosch does NOT make our O2s for Mopar. They make compatible O2s for our vehicles however. They suck in comparison to stockers. Again, see my real world info on what really is cheaper in the previous post.

I went with the Duralast from AutoZone. It seems to be better constructed than the OEM I took off. Even if it lasted only half as long it would still mean that half way through the life I could have another 'new' one and end up spending no more overall. Anyway, all that said, it works fine and did seem to add a little power. The one I took off had tested OK, but I replaced it anyway just for grins. The change over was easy enough. Just have to be careful with the little right angle vacuum tube underneath. Funny thing, I stopped at the local Dodge dealer to get a new vacuum tube. According to them this thing doesn't exist. It didn't show up anywhere in their system. Didn't need one anyway, just like to change everything related when I do something. So far, so good.
I like DuraLast parts......For that matter I like Auto Zone.
I'm still a firm believer in OEM. They've rigurously have tested them over many times even WELL over companies like Bosch. Now using a good aftermarket part that excceds OEM and for your build (because if you alter your rig it's different) then that puts things in different torerances. Then a good fine tuning is were you go to after that. This is where I like to play!

Hey guys,
Haven't been on the forum for a while but after reading this one last week, I changed the MAP sensor and have noticed a great increase in the responce of my 99 5.9. I took the D to my local shop and they are going to replace the O2 sensores today. I bought them at the dealer and will cost $45 to put in. I hope this will help with gas.
Unfortunately, I'm only getting 9.5 city and about 10.5 highway, I am running 33's.
Hopefully this will help! Will let you all know what happens.
Thanks

Just did mine today after the install of my new PCV and I ran 15.829 on the freeway with A/C engaged driving at 75 mph. This is an increase of about .6 over regular and with 85 octane here.
The normal milage is at 15.2 lately without detonation. Running premo fuel that increases about 1-2 mpg's.

Unfortunately I don't have much to report. I got a little extra boost from the MAP sensor change but the O2 sensors didn't do much to help with the gas milage. I'm still running less than 10 mpg while driving day to day. Still feels sluggish and heavy.
After new sparks, K&N filter, MAP and O2 sensors, still getting crummy gas milage.
What else can I do!?!?!?

Sorry dude, I'm calling bs on that. Mythbusters would bust that wide open.

That MAY work for you but in general that is not true.
