Well the mother-in-law has been at my house for the last 9 days helping tend to my wife from her surgery and helping with the chitlins so I've been looking to get the hell away from home.......LOL.......
So I've been busy with the D in finding things that need a lil TLC.
Well started with the pulling the instrument cluster to figure out if the temperature gauge can be replaced without replacement of the whole thing. I just need just the gauge which CAN be replaced so I'm looking for an old broken cluster or replaced one that I can pick up or better yet just the gauge to replace mine. I thought Indy D had one but I'm calling out anyone?
Pulled the steering column off and tightened everything down and cleaned everything.
Ripped into the heater/cooler control switch to find out why under load the heater keeps changing from the panel to the floor when the engine is under load. (Thought it was the PCV but I was wrong) Pulled it out and opened the vacuum switch (don't try this at home...LOL) cleaned out the lines because grease had gotten into the lines and re-sealed the switch. Works better but must have a leak. Replaced the dash and fully cleaned everything.
Figured that while I had the battery cable off for power down to the air bag module (ABM) that I might as well do the TB and reset the PCM.
So I pulled the Throttle Body off and to my horror the IAC was something sick! I cleaned that thing to the point you could eat off it and reinstalled. No more erratic idle especially considering it's been a good while.......LOL .....Things purring like a mountain lion now!
Next moved to the console.
Pulled the whole thing out and fully cleaned it including the front storage area. Only took like 1 hour and a fifth of whiskey to do it......LOL...... Vacuumed out the between the seats (OMG!) and cleaned the floor vents and blend door for the rear.
Next is to see what the hell is rolling around in the rear hatch and find a new glove box lock.

Someones gotta do the dirty work!...
The glove box doesn't lock per say but the handle is broken not allowing it to unlock the box when you pull the handle. Priced it at the dealer at $40.

No lock on the 2000 glove box either. But hey! Hydra and I don't have the sissy lights in the cup holder or center console like others I know of.
(secretly wish I did LOL!)
Here is your gauge. Get is fast. That is a GREAT price. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/00-Do...ht_2424wt_1280
Pix of the glove box lock? Those colored dash vac lines and vac manifold are quite intimidating aren't they.

That's the whole thing. It would work but first I'm looking for just the guage.
It's the latch (non-locking) in dark tan. I'll get a photo up.
And yes those vacuum lines are a basterd!

Dude, wtf? The price is less than $34 and you are DONE. That's less than a single AutoMeter gauge. Just get it and get it done already. Stocker entire pods are too few and far between to wait to find another one on eBay, etc. Frack... if you want to fart around pulling out a single gauge (in a pod not designed for that BTW) and trying to replace a stocker back in there... the SAME link is where you will find the replacement gauge.
Who is ever going to part out individual guages from a one piece pod? I have never seen one.
Are you drunk? LOL

And yes I am drunk (as normal)........LMFAO!
I don't have room for the extras and was thinking about just getting a guage form somebody here with a bad cluster. I know there on here.
Regardless, BC of the move and pulling up this lil 1400 SQ ' apartment from my 2400 SQ ' house and 24'X24' garage....... She's a little cramped. Mainly I could use the extra parts just not the extra bagage.
Duranged<------ I was hoping you got rid of that copy but I can see why you held onto it......Want some?
