Default 2002 durango A/C problems

I have a 02 durango with 104000 miles.
I recently had to put a new ECM on it.
After the computer was replaced the A/C quit cooling.

I replaced the Compressor, Dryer and both Expansion Valves.
Went through 3 new Compressors that were bad.
When charged the system has good numbers on both low and high side but it only cools to about 70 degrees.

Would like some input on what could cause the lack of cooling.
Vaccum was pulled and held for 12 hours and never leaked off.

I had the same problems. Charge all the same part, went through 4 different compressors. The tech at Dodge said to change both relays (AC and Electric Fan) and that the electric fan has two speeds. The electric fan wasn't pulling enough air. And would you believe, he was right. My AC now blow a cool 45 degrees. Good luck.

X2 what iwa said. I had the same problem, turned out it was the stock efan busted. Replaced it with a used efan and a Flex-A-Lite VCS module myself. Here's the link if you're interested.

Take the truck to the washer and spray out the condenser on the front end.

Open the hood and spray the bugs and dirt/crap out of the fins with compressed water. Then spray out the radiator side as well. Be carefull not to bend the fins.

I have replaced the relays and have cleaned the fins on both the radiator and the condensor.
When it was in the low 80's this morning I got it down to 58 degrees, later in the day when it was 106 it would get to 67 - 70 degrees. I have never had this problem with any A/C system that I have replaced. Just did a 97 Tahoe and it blows 40 degrees in 100 degree heat.

my 02 Durango had to have the A/C fan motor replaced then the relays.. luckly its all simply to replace yourself and the relays are easy to get to under passenger side dash. But on the down side it still does not cool anywhere under 50 :/ looks like its a good thing it has windows.

Double check the R-134a refrigerant system charge capacity. Be sure you have the correct amount refrigerant. If has a rear unit it uses more than a single front unit.

Take it in and have it E-vaced and replace the dryer/accumulator then fill to capacity. If thats not it then have a expansion valve replaced.

For money issues you might want all done at the same time.

Kinda sounds low on freon.

I have replaced the front and rear expansion valves. They were replaced with Compressor works Expansion Valves, the Drier was replaced and the system was recharged with 2.44 lbs of R134. The 02 Durango with rear air called for 2.44 lbs.
