brakes?
The Durango brakes are too small.....IMHO
I like running good rotors of your choice (slotted or not) and DuraLast Gold Series Pads from AZ. Ceramic are good but not meant for hilly terrain and towing.... both provide little dusting......Each to their own.

awee bummer lol. i really dislike the drum brakes as well. how do you know when the drum brakes should be replaced? cause i have no clue ha. but i'll look into different rotors and pads thanks.
+1 Indy!
Take off a wheel and drum and look at em. Also there is a window on the back side of the dust shield on the axle side on the bottom.
You just change out your brake fluid. You do not re-pressurize the system, it has it's own and it uses the peddel....... Pull the fluid out of the master cylinder and pour new in. Then use a vacuum bleeder at the wheel or a pressurize the master using a bleed gun. This is the best way but each to their own. Most people take it in and have it done for like $60.
Fluid will turn dark in color when dirty or oxidized. Usual interval is about 60k.

Just redid mine. The pedal feels much better. Before it was like almost to the floor but now it works like it should be. I didn't need to change the pads or rotors but I felt it was something that needed to be done. I took off all the parts and saw that the pad backs were scaled with rust and a few places there was chipping of the pads so that was a good call. The rotors were not smooth like they should be but kinda smooth/bumpy. There was also a raised line on the right rotor cause by uneven wear of the outside right pad. Anyway, it was a good preventive measure.
