Pull your Throttle Body off and fully clean that thing and re-install it. You don't need to replace the IAC, just clean it off when you do the cleaning. DO NOT push the IAC plungger in when cleaning it!

+1. Absolutely.

If you have it off, and it has some age, simply put a new one back in place. No need to mess with cleaning, watching the plunger, etc... just replace it.

Some things wear out and you can gain an advantage by simply replacing it. Why take it off twice? Once now and once agin in 6 months when you decide you should have replaced it in the first place?

The throttle body that was mentioned, instead of cleaning. Where would be a good place to purchase it?

If you are just doing routing maintenance and tune up procedures, no need to replace a throttle body. I do agree with the IAC motor though.

Just take the throttle body off of the intake and clean out the carbon real real good. Remember when reassembling it to your time so you know it is airtight.
